The Innocence Project is just about one of the most worthwhile charitable institutions that exists. Dedicated to battling capital punishment both at a conceptual level period as well as helping to free individuals who have been wrongly convicted of crimes, it's mission is as important a cause as exists in the American legal system. But rather than go off on a tangent about why the death penalty is an inherently abhorrent institution, we want to share a track from the Arcs, aka the new band from Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach. Inspired by the real life case that is the focus of Netflix's new true crime miniseries, Making a Murderer, the track, "Lake Superior," is psych-rock as protest song, and it's nice to see Auerbach using his talents for a good cause. All proceeds from the single will be going towards the Innocence Project, and Dan Auerbach, we salute you.
