Black Panther is the latest installment in the Marvel Universe and it has everyone on the edge of their seats. Not only is it the first Marvel Studios film to have people of colour at its forefront, but it's making history as it integrates "multiple original recordings created specifically for the film." We're finally seeing a blockbuster movie where our current social issues are the driving narrative. The fact that the film showcases people of colour in every aspect is instantly setting a new standard in Hollywood, where hopefully other studios and executives will follow suit.

Kendrick, along with Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, will curate the soundtrack of this already iconic film. Director Ryan Coogler stated in a press release how honoured he is to be "working with such an incredible artist whose work has been so inspirational" and who wouldn't be jealous of this artistic collaboration! With these brilliant minds at work we're in for one hell of a treat. The collection will feature tracks from the film and is set to be released on February 9th, give the trailer a watch here!
