It's a good day. Mac DeMarco will release his third album on May 5th and he's calling it This Old Dog, which will be his first full-length album since 2014's Salad Days. It was written in New York and recorded in Los Angeles - where DeMarco lives now - and it'll be full of 13 glorious tracks for our enjoyment. Mac DeMarco just shared two singles from the record, "My Old Man" and the album's title track "This Old Dog."

Both singles find DeMarco using more synthesizers than his past songs, but the Canadian-born singer still sprinkles the tracks with his acoustic guitar and raspy croon. They bring the same psychedelic rock feel at slightly different tempos. But one thing's for sure - Mac DeMarco knows how to throw down some soothing, feel-good tracks.

After writing the songs on his upcoming album, DeMarco said they just sat there during the move to Los Angeles, allowing him to really get to know those songs. He said, "it was a totally different vibe." This new vibe was brought to life by acoustic guitars, synthesizers, and a drum machine. This new sound works for Mac DeMarco and we are incredibly excited to hear more from the upcoming album.
