Baeble was in for a real treat when Marian Hill
came by the office for our latest Bands + Brews. The electro-pop duo brought something we've never quite experienced before - sultry beats with even more sultry vocals that made the whole audience get down and dirty.
There was something so hypnotizing about lead singer Samantha Gongol, the way she made eye contact with each and every individual in the crowd made for an even more intimate show. She effortlessly hit every single note, she was little but she had an enormous presence, and during instrumental breaks, when producer Jeremy Lloyd laid down the strategically cut beats, the two drew each other in like magnets. Marian Hill essentially had the entire room under their spell. And we were okay with it.
Marian Hill brought the tunes and Blue Point Brewing Company
brought the refreshments. If you're into forward-thinking electronic music, powerhouse vocalists, and even a touch of saxophone (oh yeah, there's some sax in this show), then this is one concert you definitely do not want to miss. Out soon.
