Syracuse-bred Ra Ra Riot has created a lot of buzz with their energetic shows, leading to an appearance at the CMJ Music Marathon and favorable reviews from SPIN.com. Since then, it's been an upward spiral of positivity, as they went to tour with Tokyo Police Club and then headlined their first tour in 2007. Even with the unforunate passing of drummer Jonathon Ryan Pike, the band remained strong and quickly reverted back, going on to produce three EP's and two acclaimed albums (one of which The Orchard, was produced by Chris Walla of Death Cab and Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend).
Now, they're touring with The Submarines who have just finished up a busy 2011, putting out their Shoelace EP, chockfull of cool covers of New Order's "Your Silent Face" and Jessu Mary Chain's "Just Like Honey." The tour will begin on 2/22 in Los Angeles and will show-off the bands remixes of each other's songs; displaying a mutual fondness in the best way. Here's a taste of the remixes and what you can expect to see at their shows.
