have been pretty quiet since their debut album If You Wait
in 2013 - when they won over the hearts of music fans almost instantly. Since then, they've released a bunch of covers and an unreleased track but no new music from the British trio. Until now. London Grammar has released a single, "Rooting For You" and an incredibly moving music video to accompany it.
The video is a beautifully restrained visual that focuses almost entirely on the lead singer, Hannah Reid. Reid sings a capella into a microphone while standing in a dark room, dressed in all-black, drawing all of your focus to her full, mesmerizing vocals. It appears she is alone in the beginning, but as the camera pans out and the room lightens, a symphony orchestra is revealed to bring the video to a dramatic end. Oh, how we've missed that powerful voice.
There isn't much talk of a potential new album but the release of "Rooting For You" is a pretty good sign.
