The Soundmen are a production/DJ duo with a chameleon-like ability to effortlessly mix different genres together with the hooks of soothing indie pop and sampled electronic beats. Hailing from Seattle, the duo's history of producing artists across a wide variety of genres became a catalyst in delivering an EP reflective of their eccentric tastes. The duo now resides in Brooklyn with a determination to expand their music in the heart of the indie scene. The Soundmen described the long-term context of their musical vision. They said, "The goal of this EP and with every one of our productions is to create music that doesn't exist in the moment but can be played back five years from now and sound relevant."

The duo recently debuted a brand new video for "My Friends," featuring Mick Coogan and Panic City. The tone of the song itself reflects the duo's passion for surfing with its pacifying tone symbolizing the allure of a calming wave washing across the shore. Reminiscent of cult-classic film Dazed and Confused, the video focuses on a blossoming romance during a late night party around a large campfire. The duo described the story line as an inspirational homage to timeless video classics. They said, "We wanted to capture the nostalgic party vibes of the track and were inspired by videos like Smashing Pumpkins - '1979,' and Jimmy Eat World - 'The Middle.' The end result is a beautifully shot short film capturing a blurry night of late night romance."
