We all like to make love. We all like to get down. In a new monthly feature here at Baeblemusic, I will be bringing you a small mix of love sure to make you want to give and receive. Five or six fresh new tracks from the past month that are built for the bedroom, and the occasional classic slow jam. "A power source of tender force" to help you give that special someone what only you can give them - your love. This is the Babymaker.
1. A$AP Rocky - "Fuckin' Problems" (featuring Drake, 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar)
The first month of 2013 brought us A$AP Rocky's debut studio release LONG.LIVE.A$AP
and the straight-to-Hot 97 booty smack that is "Fuckin' Problems." All the ladies seem to love this one, but I don't have a "fuckin' problem" with that. Not one bit.
2. Cocaine 80s - "Fly Ass Pisces" (feat. Jhene Aiko & Common)
January 13 saw the release of No ID project Cocaine 80s' latest release The Flower of Life
EP. Common and Jhene Aiko tag team the song "Fly Ass Pisces," which you can download for free here
3. Destiny's Child - "Say My Name" (Timbaland Remix)
The third track on this month's mixtape is a classic. The Timbaland remix of "Say My Name" got a re-release this month on a new D.C. compilation album of love songs titled...Oh! Right - Love Songs
4. Eddie Kendricks - "If You Let Me"
The REAL classic on this playlist is the first track off Eddie Kendricks' debut LP from 1972 People...Hold On
, which Motown/Tamla Records actually re-released on vinyl and digitally recently.
5. Toro y Moi - "So Many Details"
We end the night here, with Toro y Moi's "So Many Details" from the new record Anything in Return
Play the Babymaker Mix through Spotify below whether you're at the party, the after-party or the after, after-party. Look out for The Babymaker at the end of February and every other month. I got mad love for ya.
