Since hearing about their remodeled name and impending album that would follow-up the Baeble-acclaimed Rise Ye Sunken Ships, we counted down the days to hear Augustines' self-titled release in full. Today, the Brooklyn-based group shared their record's 12-tracks on WSJ, and after giving it a few spins, we're hearing something that overcomes any sophomore stigmas. With their new identity comes a band with a resurgent hunger to make their noise known, and Augustines have done just that by capturing the infectious energy of their live shows all within an album. Listen below.
Augustines is due out February 4th via Votiv/Oxcart. Watch them perform a charming, acoustic rendition of "Nothing to Lose But Your Head" for Baeble at the Brooklyn Art Library.
