Bleak, moody, and clouted in a tantalizing aura of musical mystery; what's so far emerged from Lykke Li's forthcoming album Wounded Rhymes certainly wraps the stylish bouts of contorting pop she perfected on Youth Novels (and in concert) in a slightly darker package. "I Follow Rivers" is the latest example, exuding tension from the get go with Lykke's deep breaths and a hard hitting percussive pulse. The song brings with it these Tarik Saleh directed visuals, as our Swedish heroine plays the part of a barefoot tracker, ultimately leaving her man with a somewhat menacing reminder that he'll probably never get away from her.
