Brooklyn based indie band, Acrylics
, has released a video for their song "Nightwatch". Although it does not appear to be a high-production video, the scenic portrayals of running streams and contemplative horses within the woods stand alone in terms of captivating quality. There is an odd combination of sci-fi-like discovery within the background of nature, almost like an indie music video remake of the film, The Island (not to mention the similar all-white outfits donned by both the characters in the film as well as in "Nightwatch"). Acrylics are definitely visual creatures and fans of interpretation, as their listed website is a tumblr blog that only posts abstract seen-on-the-street photos one at a time without description. This sequence of seemingly random depictions is certainly present within this video. It showcases the abstract attitude of Acrylics, which accurately accompanies the tone within the music of "Nightwatch". The video's featured track will be available on Acrylic's March 1st release of their debut album, Lives and Treasure
