Aaron Bruno's genre-bending band AWOLNATION
is an eclectic project, meshing sounds from all corners of rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. Next week sees the release of the third AWOLNATION album, Here Come the Runts
, so we thought it was about to time to cast our minds back to 2015 when we got an insight into the man behind the band. Having recently supported The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Robert Plant, we found Aaron Bruno feeling reflective about the group's success. Listen to Bruno speak openly about his decision-making process in pursuing a career under the guise of a one-man band, as opposed to a more straightforward approach as a conventional solo artist.
Here Come the Runts
is scheduled to drop next week, on Friday February 2nd, and four tracks from the LP are already available to stream. This album cycle has included a couple of collaborations with director Ravi Dhar, who has helmed the videos for "Passion" and "Handyman" in recent months. These videos have served to illuminate the ever-expanding scope of AWOLNATION's sound and Bruno, along with his current bandmates, are setting sail on February 11th for a tour encompassing venues throughout America and Europe.
