Today we're premiering the new single, "Naked," from Brooklyn-based rock outfit Monogold. When I first listened to it, I was intrigued by the fantastic strumming guitars. Those combined with the subtle, delicate vocals makes for a worthy comparison to early Bombay Bicycle Club; raw and full of I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose's light energy. But after focusing on the song sonically, I later learned about the meaning behind the song. It really is about being naked. "'Naked' is about that pure moment of recognizing your own body," Monogold's Keith Kelly told Baeble. "How weird it may feel, in the most exciting way. Like that moment when everyone agrees to jump in that night time water naked. Everything feels different and completely right. I guess in a simple way it's about that..."

It's a simple but relatable idea. The light and summery vibe of the song will seriously shine some positive light on your day. The song is from their latest EP, Yolk, via Chill Mega Chill Records.
