Ellie Goulding recently sat down with Dave Berry & Lisa Snowdon on the Capital Breakfast morning show to chat about her new single, "Love Me Like You Do," but the conversation quickly turned to other avenues of work she'd be interested in including stepping in front of the camera as a different character. "I'd quite like to act at some point. I just think it'd be quite fun. It'd be another one of my experiments."

Turns out Ellie is just one of several musicians who have dropped the mic to give a hand at acting. from Justin Bieber to Eminem, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Rihanna, check out these music stars who've taken on another role in entertainment.

    Justin Bieber True Jackson VP
Back in 2009, pre-tattoos and brushes with the law, music's resident brat guest starred on Nickelodeon's True jackson VP after star Keke Palmer invited him to her birthday party.

    Jonas Brothers Jonas
At their height of fame, the Jonas Brothers had their own show on Disney Channel, not surprisingly called Jonas playing slightly different versions of themselves.

    Justin Timberlake The Social Network+more
Justin got his start on The Mickey Mouse Club, shot to super stardom with NSYNC, had a sizzling solo music career before exiting the stage to step on the silver screen. My favorite is his role as Napster mastermind, Sean Parker in 2010's The Social Network and his guest appearances on Saturday Night Live.

    Jack White Cold Mountain
I loved this movie and completely forgot music's most mysterious and intimidating rocker god dipped his toes in the acting pool for his role as Georgia in 2003's Cold Mountain

Iggy Azalea Fast And Furious 7
She may be a "Fancy" singer, but Iggy Azalea isn't letting any opportunity pass her by. The Australian rapper filmed a cameo in the upcoming Fast and Furious 7 giving her more street creed to her name...haha see what I did there?

    Taylor Swift Valentine's Day
Taylor Swift may be music's chart topping darling, but the country-turned-pop-princess has tried to prove she has the chops to hold her own on the silver and small screen with her role in 2010's Valentine's Day and a guest starring spot on Fox's hit show New Girl.

    Rihanna Battleship
It was surprising to hear Rihanna was going to give a go at acting when it was announced she had landed a small role in 2012's Battleship, but she has followed it up with her part as Moon Goddess in 2014's Annie.

    Carrie Brownstein Portlandia+more
Sleater-Kinney may have taken a nine year hiatus, but all the women stayed busy including Carrie Brownstein who put her acting ability to the test by taking on roles in Portlandi, Transparent, and guest voicing on The Simpsons.

    Eminem 8 Mile
Eminem went back to his roots of Detroit Michigan to play the role of Jimmy 'B-Rabbit' Smith in 2002's 8 Mile. The role was loosely based on Em's life, making it not so hard to get into character.

    Flea Too Many To Mention
Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist, Flea, has always been a firecracker so it's not a shock he's had a healthy acting career on the side of his on-stage musical duties. With over 33 acting credits including Back To The Future Part 2 and 3 as well as The Big Lebowski and Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Flea could def fall back on his on-camera talent if you know, the band ever decides to break up.

    David Bowie Labyrinth
If you haven't seen Labyrinth you haven't lived. Rock icon David Bowie plays Jareth the Goblin King who holds a baby hostage while his sister tries to complete his labyrinth in 13 hours for his release. Sounds weird and creepy now, but in 1986, it was totally rad.
