It feels like we deserve a slap on the hand for not knowing about singer-songwriter, Ryn Weaver, sooner. The 22-year-old kind of killed it in 2014 with the release of her song, "OctaHate."
The former NYU acting student ditched the Big Apple for LA's palm tress and warm winters to launch her music career. A smart move for the San Diego native, who within two weeks of releasing "OctaHate," caught the attention of famous faces like Paramore's Hayley Williams, Charli XCX, and Jesse Ware, translating into over a million plays. Wow.
Ryn's beat driven tunes posses a certain kind of power that worms right into your ear with the echo of her voice causing silent head bobs even after the music has stopped.
She's already kicked off the year with a bang, performing on Late Night With David Letterman and will be taking the stage at Bonnaroo in June to showcase her indie-pop perfection.
Check out her video for "OctaHate" below and keep your eyes and ears open for more from this soon-to-be star.
