Fans don't have to wait anymore for the announcement of the Dirty Projectors
new album! Up until recently, they have been quiet about the new project and when it would arrive, but in the meantime two awesome new tracks were released: "Little Bubble" and "Keep Your Name." Today, it was finally revealed that the self-titled album is official and will be out in a few weeks, on February 24th via Domino.
To celebrate, the band shared the third track from the album. This charming and rhythmically soothing love song is called "Up in Hudson" and we absolutely love it. The song is seven minutes of Longstreth's malleable vocals and upbeat pop that includes the lyric, "Now I'm listening to Kanye on the Taconic parkway riding fast."
So far, this is shaping up as the most "mainstream" album for the Dirty Projectors and we're totally okay with that.
