Local Brooklyn DIY show booker, Jordan Michael Ianucci (aka JMC Aggregate), has come up with a creative yet unorthodox way to expose younger kids to the DIY music world. He's offering to do homework assignments for any high school kids attending his shows as long as they don't show up drunk or drink any alcohol at the show.

Ianucci's goal may be unsettling to most people who believe in traditional education, but his belief is that appreciating art from an early age is more important than slaving over an assignment you'll forget about 30 minutes after it's completed. So far he's only had one assignment (math functions, it took him 45 minutes). After which, he told us that showed the teenager the ins and outs of a DIY venue's function, a lesson that he plans to teach all of his young attendees.

"It's is important [to target this age group] because if left totally unaided, a teenager's life will either suck or prepare them to grow up into a boring person," Ianucci told us in a recent conversation. "I want neither of these things to happen to anyone."

For those interested in avoiding calculus, Ianucci's strict guidelines and contact information can be found here.
