Alternative singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus is out with her new song "Addictions," which also comes along with a self-directed video. Starting out with a woman discovering an empty picture frame that makes everything in its view black and white, we then go on an adventure with her as she sees the world through this newfound lens. In between shots of the girl roaming around town, we also see Dacus alone and singing in black and white. At the end, the two meet and hug as everything becomes permanently black and white.

Just like Dacus' previous release, "Night Shift," this latest track is painstakingly sentimental. "Was I a risk without reward or did I make you proud?" the singer asks. She later on sings the main line, "I'm just calling 'cause I'm used to it and you'll pick up 'cause you're not a quitter / you've got addictions too, it's true." These two solemn yet anthemic singles have got us super excited for her sophomore album Historian, set to arrive on March 2nd via Matador Records. She's also set to tour, see dates here.
