At Baeble we are suckers for when artists strip songs down to their basics and they work in different settings.
Norwegian producer Matoma and singer Josie Dunne nail the re-working of their hit "Sunday Morning" into a churched up acoustic wonder.
The track is off Matoma's latest studio album "One In A Million" released last August. The song is great but what you would expect from a producer, big beat and a great groove.
Last fall Matoma and Josie mixed it up and performed the song in a Nashville church with a gospel choir. It gave us goosebumps to watch and listen. Matoma had this to say about the special production, "We always felt this really uplifting feel-good vibe in the song that gave us an idea to record it with a gospel choir to give it even more powerful emotion. Josie lives in Nashville so I flew there, found an amazing choir and this beautiful old church to record it in and just had the best day goofing around." Josie Dunne adds "Recording this video was the ultimate treat for me! I grew up listening to RnB and Gospel music, so getting to sing in such a beautiful old church, alongside an amazing gospel choir was pure joy! I couldn't stop smiling!"
So, smile along with us and enjoy the acoustic premier of "Sunday Morning."
