Paper route has been around for sometime. Originally started in 2004 as a way for founding member Chad Howat to fight his insomnia, the band's recent release of Real Emotion has given them some traction into the new year. Their unorthodox combination of electronic swells, EDM beats, and pop rock tendencies have created a sound that sets them apart from other indie-pop groups. Real Emotion features anthems like "Writing On The Wall," "Laugh About It," and "Chariots" which give us a sense of how much they love a good old upbeat dance jam. However, their newest single "Balconies" revives a somber 80's synth vibe and tells a story of regret and loneliness. Paper Route is without a doubt perfect "blare in your car with the windows down" music.

In February, they will be setting out on a cross country tour with K.FLAY. Hailing from Nashville Tennessee, the band is made up of JT Daly (vocals, keyboards, percussion), Chad Howat (bass, piano, programming), and Nick Aranda (guitars). The trio came into Baeble HQ recently to chat and play a few songs for us. They opted for an unplugged set, giving an even more vulnerable look at their new album. Look for the video coming out soon!
