Carly Rae Jepsen
became a household name following the imperialistic dominance of her breakout single, "Call Me Maybe." As per Instagram, the once preeminent pop-princess is back in the studio, working this time around with renaissance man Devonte Hynes (a.k.a. Blood Orange), and powerhouse producer Ariel Rechtshaid.
This announcement bodes well for Jepsen's future; Dev Hynes has written for Florence and the Machine, while Ariel Rechtshaid has worked with Haim, Vampire Weekend, and Madonna, among many others. The two have even previously worked together, collaboratively crafting Sky Ferreira's hit "Everything is Embarrassing".
There is no release date for the album yet, but we'll be eagerly awaiting the result of this unique collaboration.
