Edward Sharpe's Alex Ebert Won a Golden Globe, For Real

    Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros won a Golden Globe for Best Original Score for his musical contributions to All Is Lost last night. In doing so, he beat out Hans Zimmer (12 Years a Slave) and John Williams (The Book Thief). These are the two guys who won in previous years for The Lion King and Jaws/Star Wars: A New Hope, respectively. That's quite the feat indeed, Mr. Ebert. And I must admit, I was even more flabbergasted to see Ebert shed his iconic, beat-up white suit for a handsome tux.
