Show Review

Wild Cub's debut LP Youth was recently released via Big Light Recordings. In celebration, the Nashville-based band conceived a video for their track "Jonti". Directed by Chad Hartigan, the clip features over 3,000 individually cropped frames taken by Anna Ottum on a Lomokino camera, shot in New York, Los Angeles, and Portland, OR over three months.

Artist Bio

Wild Cub led by singer/songwriter/film score composer Keegan DeWitt and Nashville music mainstay Jeremy Bullock (Jessie Baylin, Madi Diaz, Pico vs. Island Trees made their official debut at SxSW this year at the Billy Reid & KSwiss Shindig. The young band, which only officially formed last November, came together after touring over the past year around DeWitts prior solo releases, including headlining runs; as part of Daytrotters 4th Barnstormer tour (also featuring artists like Sondre Lerche, Guards, White Rabbits, and Princeton); supporting Jeremy Messersmith; and at Communion New York. Already catching the eye and ear of their hometown press, Nashville Cream has praised Wild Cubs intricate melodic pop: dont ask how, but the Chris Martin-meets-'Bastards of Young melody on the first of three new songs hit that elusive sweet spot of melody plus sing-along that every pop-based band should aim for.
