UK band Mic Lowry weave the familiar sounds of Phil Collin's classic "In The Air Tonight" into "Oh Lord."
MiC LOWRY Delleile Ankrah, Akia Jones, Kaine Ofoeme, Ben Sharples, and Michael Welch have experienced a meteoric rise in the UK since their debut EP release in 2015. After releasing Oh Lord and wrapping up their own sold-out UK premiere headline tour in September, which was well-received by media and fans, MiC LOWRY were hand-picked by Justin Bieber to be his main support on the European leg of his Purpose World Tour. They performed to more than 500,000 fans across 37 European dates in 22 cities; including six sold-out nights at Londons 02 arena with total attendance north of 100,000.
The five members of MiC LOWRY all grew up within a mile of each other, and started singing together in their early teens. They attended Calderstones School in Liverpool (formerly known as Quarry Bank, John Lennons alma mater), and formed their first band together at a local youth arts centre. In their early days, MiC LOWRY honed their live show at local venues including Liverpools legendary Cavern Club, where the Beatles and other British Invasion bands from Liverpool started out. It's Liverpool where MiC LOWRY live writing, recording and creating everything they do from their own studio. From the start, MiC LOWRY developed a soul-drenched throwback style rooted in the 90s R&B sounds of Miami and Detroit. They were soon blending R&B and pop into a brilliant world of upbeats bangers and breathtaking ballads. Their show-stopping, jaw-dropping formidable live shows, highlighted by the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury, won them a strong following, boosted by plays from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra. In addition to the MOBO Unsung Award, MiC LOWRY was nominated for a BET award for Best International Newcomer. As of late 2016, they have secured an army of nearly a half-million loyal fans across their social networks, scoring tens of millions of views for their unique mash-ups.
