Show Review

Taylor Swift's album, 1989 garnered a massive amount of success. Not only did it win a bunch of Grammys, but it also earned her a sold out tour. She was in the spotlight for a very long time, which then led to some radio silence the following year. But even though she's been quiet, that doesn't mean she hasn't been busy.

In the spring of 2016, when Taylor was still dating world renowned DJ, Calvin Harris, she wrote "This Is What You Came For," although no one knew it at the time. Sung by Rihanna, the hit song gave writing credit to a man named Nils Sjoberg. Even though Taylor was not credited, you can still hear little snippets of the pop icon hidden within the song. It came out later on that Taylor created the pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg, so her name wouldn't appear in the song's credits.

In July of 2016, Kanye West released his infamous video for "Famous." It featured wax figures of well known celebrities like, Chris Brown, Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian, and you guessed it, Taylor. There was major controversy over the song, since Taylor told the public she did not give Kanye permission to mention her in the lyrics.

Except Kim Kardashian then posted a video of Kanye on the phone with Taylor, giving him permission to use the lyric. In response to that, Taylor posted a (now deleted) note on Instagram, stating that she'd "very much like to be excluded from this narrative."

After dating a couple of dudes, Taylor finally landed on actor heart-throb, Joe Alwyn, who she seems very happy with.

Fast-forward to late 2017, where Taylor decided to refocus her attention on what really matters -- the music!

Right before the release of her debut single "Look What You Made Me Do," she deleted all of her Instagram posts and then teased the song with cryptic videos of snakes. The video then premiered during the 2017 VMAs and boy, did critics have a field day.

"Look What You Made Me Do" was followed by video for her second single "...Ready For It," and, we guess Taylor wanted to be a cyborg for Halloween, because it was essentially the lovechild of Ghost in the Shell and Avatar.

Taylor then released two other singles, "Gorgeous" and "Call It What You Want."

Reputation is out now and it features artists like Ed Sheeran and Future. The album also mentions Taylor's past feuds that were publicized in the media. Think Kim, Kanye, Katy, Spotify, the papz, and the list goes on and on and on.
