Faces on Film's music is an cinematic as its name. The vocals are half spoken, half sung, and delivered with the weighty importance of an actor's lines. The cast is dedicated and excited, with the guitarists strumming their instruments hard enough to bend the notes slightly out of tune. The songs build slowly, seemingly alternating between poignant romance scenes and action sequences.
This isn't Hollywood music – it's too atmosphereic and lo-fi to be anything like a big-budget film - but it's Sundance-prone nevertheless. Who wants a sequel?
Faces on Film took root in Boston in the spring of 2004. The group consists of singer/songwriter Mike Fiore, guitarist Ted Gallagher, bassist David Hinckley, and drummer Peter Schaefer.
