Bea Miller and NOTD recently stopped into our studio to promote their new collab "I Wanna Know." With duo NOTD's producing chops and Bea's crystal clear voice, they make up a pop powerhouse that's taken the world (and the radio) by storm.
"I Wanna Know" started in the bedroom of Sam Brandt, one half of NOTD. He and Tobias Danielsson started the duo together and worked on songs as they attended high school (They're 17 and 19 years old, respectively). They're best known for their remixes of mega-stars like Ed Sheeran and Rihanna, but when they finished "I Wanna Know," they knew they had something special, so they sent it off to Bea Miller's management.
"I remember, within like 40 seconds or less I was like, 'Ok I need to get in the studio tomorrow and record this," laughed Bea. And she's not the only one who liked it immediately- the song has spread like wildfire and has quickly become a contender for "Song of the Summer."
In the studio, the trio played an acoustic version of their hit, really letting the emotional lyrics shine. They also performed "Like That," Bea Miller's raw and honest song about being treated like crap and fighting to feel ok again.
It's rare to see so much young talent in a room, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for Bea and NOTD. It's sure to be bright.
