Made up of classically trained musicians who graduated from NYU, collective and production team ZiG is a live electronic funk band that blends new age production with the art of old school composition and songwriting. With a myriad of inspirations such as Miles Davis and the Roots, ZiG manages to blend R&B, hip-hop, pop, EDM, funk, and jazz to create a uniquely fresh sound.
ZiG consists of New York City based musicians Jonathan Zighelboim (head composer, executive producer), Jon Schneider (keys, producer), Marlon Fischer (producer, engineer), Nic Hanson (writer), Kaileigh Grande (vox), Tarion Taylor (vox), Elia Esperanza (vox), Quintin Zoto (guitar), Reggie Thomas Jr. (drums), and Jake Strauss (bass). Together, they take on the workload of large scale production teams with their creative, talented team of 9 being able to create hit tracks from scratch.
On record, ZiG emits a live wall of sound featuring synth leads, live bass and guitar, funky horn riffs accompanied by soulful, catchy vocals, combined with modern production. ZiG has worked with Thomas Jack, Chiddy Bang, Luke Christopher, Victor Porfidio, Instrum, and has already surpassed the million stream mark on his collaboration with Taylor Bennett and Lil Yachty, ?Neon Lights?.
