From NYC explodes Young Things. Their soaring guitars and vintage melodies hint at the lighter side of life; their pounding drums, dark lyrics and pure edge still scream with all the spit and grit of their hometown.
For a new band, it's been quite a run. February saw one of the boys' hottest shows to date as they sold out the legendary Bowery Electric, and earned them a residency at the local hot spot. The band's debut music video "All My Friends Are Junkies" premiered and has earned thousands of views on various websites, most notably AOL Music's national page as a featured video. The Young Things won the Deli Magazine's Artist of the Month, and headed to Toronto to play the NXNE Festival. The band also played the Deli's Best Emerging Artists Festival, as well as Citizen Music's C-Fest, PS Fest 2011, CMJ 2011/2012 and CGBG Festival. The band's single, "Talking Too Loud", was self released as a limited edition 7 inch vinyl. Young Things were also honored to receive opening slots on sold-out shows with rock icons Jesse Malin and Har Mar Superstar. The boys are dead set on making 2013 even more successful with the release of Hello Love/Goodbye Sexual, which will be released on their new label, Battle Worldwide on June 4th.
