The Chordaes' mission is to redefine what we know and love about melodic rock, blended with a little taste of pop. In an era when fans are seeking music with substance, there's no better time for the band to unleash their unique sound that pays respect to classic rock legends, but refracted through the contemporary indie rock they grew up with. The four native New Yorkers have performed throughout the area at notable venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End (residency), The Bowery Electric, as well as at Sofar Sounds Sessions and Huffington Post A-Sides. After forming in 2014, The Chordaes were named Best New York-based emerging alt-rock band of 2015 by The Deli Magazine, and are only hitting the ground running in 2016.
The Chordaes consist of Leo Sawikin (Lead Vocals/Guitars), Ethan Glenn (Drums), Jesse Serrano (Bass), Max Ventura (Keyboards/Backing Vocals).
