Mike Viola

Artist bio

A prolific Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer and recording artist, Mike Viola first came into the national spotlight as founder and frontman of the Candy Butchers. After 3 albums with Sony/RPM, Mike became known for not only creating music for award-winning films ("Get Him To The Greek," "Walk Hard," "That Thing You Do!"), but also writing and producing for other artists (Mandy Moore, Rachael Yamagata, Tim Christensen, Gin Wigmore).

Mikes latest release, "Electro De Perfecto," marks the beginning of his new start in Los Angeles. "Electro" also features the backing band of drummer Victor Indrizzo (Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Beck) and bassist Sean Hurley (John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus), Mikes new friends and co-producers.

Whats Up

2012 finds Viola, Indrizzo and Hurley with engineer Chris Steffen launching "Band House," their new North Hollywood production studio. The quartet will be writing and recording with new artists, with their band sound and band ethics brought to the forefront.

This year will also see the international release of "Thats What She Said," a feature-length movie co-scored by Viola and other members of the "Band House" extended family.
