Although young, it is obvious to all those who listen to her that Lucette is an old and doggedly romantic soul. Full of emotion, her performances take audiences back to the days when artists such as Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, and Loretta Lynn dominated the airwaves.

The single 'Bobby Reid' off of Lucette's debut album, Black Is the Color, was completed in just one take, capturing the raw and melancholy fluctuations of her effortless and mysterious sound. Teaming up with Blake Judd of Judd Films to shoot the track's music video, Lucette commented, "I feel truly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with such amazing people on the 'Bobby Reid' video. Working with acclaimed producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Jamey Johnson, Secret Sisters) Lucette wrote and recorded the full-length album, Black Is the Color, in under a month. The two have collaborated and worked together since she was 19 years old.

2014 saw Lucette taking to the road and touring more than ever before. Shes toured or performed with artists such as Nikki Lane, The Secret Sisters, Joe Ely, Jim Lauderdale and Mason Jennings, among others. Lucette most recently toured the US in the fall 2014 as direct support on Sturgill Simpsons nearly sold-out tour.

In March 2015, Lucette made her SXSW debut in Austin, TX with 5 performances before joining Mason Jennings on several shows in April. The year will see her continue to tour throughout the States, as well as Canada.
