Ella Henderson (Gabriella Michelle Henderson), born 12 January 1996 is a British singer-songwriter whos career kicked-off on the 9th season of X Factor UK in 2012. Ella was born and raised in Tetney, near Grimsby where she lived with her parents, two brothers and sister. She studied at a music school away from home for a few years before auditioning for X Factor. Ella is a big fan of Amy Winehouse and Frank Sinatra and picks out Olly Murs and Leona Lewis as her favourite X Factor contestants from previous series of the show. She has confesses that shed love to sing with Adele or Beyonce. Despite being eliminated on X Factor in week 6 after a sing-off with season winner James Arthur, in December 2012 it was announced that Ella signed a record deal with Sony Music and Simon Cowells record label Syco.
