Taylor Swift Has Officially Conquered Instagram And The Charts

I don't really use Instagram too much. In fact, I think it's safe to say that the only times I use it these days are too post photos of new records/movies I purchased and those rare occassions when I'm back home in West Virginia so I can take pictures of my dogs. And one thing I definitely don't use Instagram for is to follow celebrities. I think I follow three? Let me check my phone really quick...yep, I follow three celebrities: Zach Braff, Glee's Chris Colfer (don't ask), and professional wrestling's Xavier Woods (once again, please, for the love of God, don't judge me).

But, I guess that is a thing some folks use the service for, and more power to you if you're really curious about what meal Selena Gomez is tweeting today. You do you, folks. But America's sweetheart (although I like to think of her as "America's passive-aggressive white feminist burden") Taylor Swift became the most followed person on Instagram. I guess folks really want to ride with Tay-Tay's squad. They want to be part of the circus sideshow that is Taylor Swift's all-consuming ego and need to be noticed. It's alright, Kim Kardashian (the former most followed individual on Instagram). You've still got Kanye and the kids. I think you'll be alright.
