UK indie/post rock group
Mice Parade has released a video for the song "In Between Times" off their forthcoming album
What It Means To Be Left Handed, directed by Meredeth Godreau.
Says the director, "Here, you contemplate your downtimes versus your busy times - your mental 'ice storms' - and feel the lightness of being alive." In non-emotional terms, it contains a mishmash of cool psychedelic imagery, both live and stop-motion, arranged in a rather choppy fashion, which fits the song's arrangement and textures excellently. I had trouble following any sort of plotline in either the video or the song, but I'm sure it was just a mental ice storm clouding my vision.
Mice Parade's forthcoming album
What It Means To Be Left Handed is due out September 27th on Fatcat Records and is currently available for preorder through the
label website. The band will also embark on a tour in support of the album starting September 23rd that will take them through the US and Europe. -
