Los Campesinos! have released a new track, "The Sea Is A Good Place To Think Of The Future," available for free download on their website. It sounds exactly as it reads, like the sea and like thinking about the future. It is a good song. Go get it.
The surprise release comes a day after the video instructions were
posted for the
Los Campesinos! Record Box Project 2009, a contest for fans to potentially win a ridiculous collection of records/other goodies hoarded by LC! during their latest tryst through the states. The box is stocked full of forty-eight 7-inch records, including
Pains Of Being Pure At Heart,
Blonde Redhead,
Tokyo Police Club and many many more. For the complete list, check out their site. The contest itself seems a little tedious (it involves rewatching about fifteen video posts on the bands website) but should be no sweat for hardcore fans looking to score an incredible collection of music from the States.
