Despite a difficult short list of qualified albums,
The XX came out on top yesterday, beating favorites like Mumford and Sons, Wild Beasts, Klaxons, and more.
Although met with skepticism concerning the snore-factor of their live show, the notoriously morose kids put together one of the best albums of 2009, and their win is at least deserved in that respect.
XX was the subject of a number of rave reviews, from top critics as well as
our writers. Still, plenty of other deserving acts were nominated AND have passed through Baeble, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize them and their videos.
