I saw Nick Cave at a show in Prospect Park at the end of July with former Baeble Managing Editor, Joe Puglisi. It was a darkly sexual, brooding, and supremely intense set from one of post-punk/proto-gothic rock's most important figures. The Australian legend has a new film coming out, 20,000 Days on Earth that is (if the gorgeous trailer is to be believed) a fascinating merger of music documentary and concert film with more experimental, overt cinematic flourishes. I want to see it. Below is a new live take on "Give Us a Kiss/Jubilee Street" recorded at the Sydney Opera House which plays a role in the film as well as the trailer which should get any Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds fans very excited.
