From the second that hard-strummed Drop D acoustic guitar comes in on Slam Donahue's single, "C'mon C'mon," you know you've got your hands on something good. The don't-know-what-you-got-til-it's-gone track only gets better from there, with MGMT-like vocals, a smart beat, and witty piano licks. Short and sweet, "C'mon C'mon" is classic Slam, blending pop and hip-hop sensibilities. After a few years of relative obscurity, this NY-based band sounds ready to be a mainstay in our headphones.

Check out this catchy song below. Hemlock Tea is out now via Cantora Records.

For more Slam Donahue, watch the interview we did with the guys last March.
