Last week Charli XCX
confounded fans by announcing she would be delaying the release of her third LP
until December for the US, and January 2015 for the UK and Europe... for no good reason, gee how punk rock. Her not-great reason for the delay revolved around the success of the album's first single "Boom Clap
". She felt the single's success needed some more time to play it self out before the record release could go ahead "properly".
In a less rebellious act, Charli premiered six new tracks, presumably featured on Sucker
at a concert in Orlando. She's confessed that the upcoming LP is one that's more informed than her previous endeavors. In the past she's written primarily about love, but Sucker
deals with a range of topics including the female body, the music industry, and the nature of cold hard cash. "This record definitely feels more informed," she told Nylon's October issue.

is set for release in US on December 16th.
