Dawes Pay Tribute To 'All Your Favorite Bands'

L.A. folk outfit and longtime Baeble favorite Dawes just released the music video for the title track off their fourth studio album, All Your Favorite Bands. It has shades of one of those old Irish drinking songs but with a nice optimistic spin [Ed. Note: Instead of being about, you know, shipwrecks or a potato famine]. I recognized some familiar faces in the video: My Morning Jacket, Conor Oberst, and the dude from the Killers among a host of other faces we didn't necessarily immediately recognize. The chorus of the song ends with May all your favorite bands stay together and while that's a sweet sentiment, I somewhat disagree. For many of my favorite bands, I wish they would just break up already (The Rolling Stones/The Flaming Lips) or I think the best thing they ever did was break up (R.E.M./Oasis). The music video ends with folks singing with a group of elementary school children so, yeah, you cant hate on this.
And be sure to check out our exclusive session with Dawes below.
