RIP The Weeknd's Hair

We here at Baeble were devastated to learn of the passing of The Weeknd's hair yesterday afternoon. Opting for a clean-cut look, the indie-R&B singer turned pop-star decided to chop off the distinctive free-form dreads that have become synonymous with the singer. Whether he was merely going for a new look or was jealous of the way his hair's separate fame threatened to overshadow his own, The Weeknd ultimately did away with his career long partner. And who has he been replaced with? A fucking small high-top fade. He remorselessly revealed this crime last Wednesday, in a tweet that inspired mourning across the nation.

Thankfully, The Weeknd has already begun to redeem himself by releasing a snippet of his upcoming bass-driven single with Daft Punk, "Starboy" (below). If this song lives up to the expectations that the collab, as well as the promising snippet, have inspired, we may eventually find it in our hearts to forgive Abel for this transgression, but right now all we can do is mourn the passing of a music icon. Rest in peace you sweet angel, I'm sure you're up in heaven hanging out with Jean-Michel Basquiat's and Bob Marley's hair, looking down fondly upon us.

And check out the outrage on Twitter:
