The Static Jacks have released a cover of
The Psychedelic Furs' "Love My Way" for the low, low price of free as part of a series of free downloads they have entitled "The Static Jacks Cover Your Favorite Songs." Their dirgelike take on this tune is dramatically different from both the original song and from their usual sound, which is usually more upbeat and is often compared to the Strokes.
The Static Jacks have had several placements on popular TV shows, including
The Hills and (most recently)
Jersey Shore with their original song "Who Are The Replacements?"
The group will be playing as a part of
Personality Crisis at Shea Stadium on September 25th, if you are in or around NYC. They also have one original track available as a free download to those who sign up for their email list, which you can do below. -
