Nothing stings quite like the feeling of being left out, especially if it's your own band excluding you. This is the emotion that Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke is currently dealing with. The singer, who released a solo album last year, says he saw his bandmates file into a rehearsal space without him. The band is currently working on a new album, their first in three years. Okereke said he just hopes that he "hasn't been fired," although an error in communication is a far more likely reason for missing a practice. The odds of Okereke actually being fired are slim to nil considering his unique voice gives Bloc Party instant recognition, and some might argue without Okereke's signature timbre, the band ceases to be Bloc Party. Then again, stranger things have happened. Either way, this is sure to create some tension in the group, even if there wasn't any before.
