Georgia rockers The Whigs stopped by our offices today to rock out a handful of songs from their latest, hot-dog sporting album Enjoy The Company. Parker, Julian, and Timothy set up a mini-acoustic jam with guitars and a snare, effortlessly translating their twangy electric arrangements into similarly twangy acoustic bits. One part that stood out to me -- despite the minimal acoustic firepower, the band had an impeccable sense of dynamic -- dipping from verses into big fat choruses with plenty of energy and sound, and it was as exciting as a fully electrified set.
