It's a fairly remarkable thing. For as many misses Ryan Adams' professional/personal life has afforded him over the years (ousting drunk fans from performances, broken bones/eardrums, spats with Courtney Love, I could go on for a while here...) somehow the hunky-dory troubadour has always kept the records coming. His last recorded outing that being '07's Easy Tiger is an instantly rewarding listen; one that lead us to declare it "as close to a return to his precious, Heartbreaker past as we'll probably ever hope to hear."
Being BIG Heartbreaker fans, we of course hope we're proved wrong on that. And with a new record hitting stores this fall, perhaps it will be sooner rather than later. Entitled Cardinology , the 12 unadorned gems will be available for first appraisals on Tuesday October 28th. If the thought of waiting an entire month to hear the record gets you down, Ryan and his Cardinals will spend the time leading up to the release rocketing round the country on tour, shedding more and more light on the collection night after night.
