I'm low key obsessing over Toronto-based rock and roll band July Talk
's video for "Push + Pull." It's black and white like all of their other videos, but it seems to sparkle a little brighter than the rest. Lead vocalists Leah Fay and Peter Dreimanis are visually captivating and bounce off of each other perfectly. Dreimanis offers several close-ups of his animal-like stare where he genuinely looks like he's lost his mind while Fay loses her mind in a different way... with carefree choreography and free-spirited movements.
As for the song itself, Dreimanis sounds like he had been smoking thirteen packs a day since he was born while Fay displays a softer side. The band proves that making dark and twisted music doesn't mean you can't also be accessible (because watch out, this song will stick itself in your head all day long). The track is off of their sophomore album, Touch,
