THAT'S A WRAP: WILD BEASTS

Wild Beasts invaded Mercury Lounge last night, and their sprightly odd and theatrical take on rock music translated well to a crowd of half American, half New-New Yorkshires. And Baeble was there to record the whole show! Details and pictures after the jump.

Opening group Roman Candle warmed up the crowd with their radio friendly rock, but it seemed that the masses came to see the British Wild Beasts and their crazy lyricism, including many who shared their origins in Britain (inside jokes!). Although it was a bit weird to be nodding heads to some rather vulgar lyrics being sung over and over, somehow, the crowd and the crew were all jumping.
