On a keyboard, when you type in 'alt-J' the delta symbol (?) comes up. Representing the mathematical symbol for change, Alt-J lives by their name, bringing a diverse and fresh sound to the music scene. Yesterday we were lucky enough to witness their sound first hand. Squeezing into a small sound booth wasn't easy, but it was totally worth it. Their ambient "folk-step" creates a surreal musical experience as it filled the walls around us. The band's album An Awesome Wave is out September 18th via Canvasback, and pictures form the session are posted below. Stay tuned for Baeble's session.
