THIS SOUNDS FAMILIAR. Mumford and Sons dropped their new single today, "I Will Wait," but fans of the band will recognize the verse melody as the anchoring line from a popular, mysterious show-only tune the band used to play called "Nothing Is Written." We've got some high-quality evidence of the "kneel down" melody's first legs from our 2010 concert. Check it out below along with the newly added chorus and final studio version of "I Will Wait."

Click on over to the band's concert video and scroll to "Nothing Is Written" for the comparison listen. Little did we know we were previewing the song when we Tweeted out the show this morning...

Babel (thanks again, guys!) is out 9/24 on Glassnote.
